Thanks to its moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties , breast milk incorporated into these soaps will make your baby's skin even softer, and can even help treat eczema.
Ingredients for making breast milk soaps
The advantage of this recipe is that it is very simple, quick and inexpensive to make! You need very few ingredients:
- 100 ml of breast milk ,
- 100 grams of soap flakes ,
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil (coconut or sweet almond, for example).
As far as equipment is concerned, you won't need much, other than containers to make a bain-marie, and a silicone soap mold (or failing that, for individual cakes).
The steps of the recipe
This recipe is short, here is how to make your breast milk soaps:
- Pour the breast milk into a container in a bain-marie, and melt the soap shavings little by little,
- Stir regularly to ensure that all the shavings melt and the mixture does not burn,
- Gently add the coconut oil and continue stirring,
- Pour the mixture into the mold,
- Place the filled molds flat, in the freezer, for a whole day (24 hours),
- Once they have set, unmold them and let them dry on a rack for a month, in a dry, ventilated place.
